With 27 years of experience, Alan has made quite a name for himself in the Houston hair scene. Growing up just outside of the Houston area, Alan took a liking to music and art at a young age. His creativity, entrepreneurism and ability to make meaningful connections with people led him to the hair industry. Over the years Alan has studied extensively with Aveda, Vidal Sassoon, L’Oreal, and Toni and Guy. Alan is perhaps the most sought-out curly hair expert in the region, and while some stylists may be able to “work with” curly hair, Alan works magic by crafting personalized styles for his curly hair clients that are both beautiful and easy to recreate at home.

A former Hue Salon apprentice herself, Tess has become a stylist known for precise cutting skills, and her ability to manage intricate colorwork. She is especially talented with Balayage, and has been certified through the L'Oréal Professionnel Academy in the technique. Tess strives to provide her guests with styles that accentuate their natural beauty, and are easy and manageable at home. As Director of Education, Tess also coordinates Hue’s apprentice program. Teaching and mentoring the salon’s new talent inspires Tess’s own work and ensures that she is always current on new and emerging trends.

Tony believes that cutting hair is an artistic expression as well as an opportunity to collaborate with clients to create new styles that are uniquely their own. With over 30 years of experience, Tony is well known for his precision cutting techniques, resulting in edgy and hip styles. Regularly attending special trainings at the renowned Vidal Sassoon Institute, Tony values continuing education and is always sure to stay informed about the industry’s cutting edge trends.

With more that 25 years of experience, Jo has made a name of herself for being a “hair genius” when it comes to challenging, resistant hair. Influenced by her extensive training with Aveda, Rusk in Los Angeles, Vidal Sassoon in Toronto, and Arrojo in Atlanta, Jo has cultivated a unique style all her own. She believes that the condition of her client’s hair is her first priority and hopes to instill an inimitable confidence with each of her client.

Ongele, a native of Louisiana, got her start in the beauty industry by braiding her friends hair in elementary school. Hebert’s 25 years of experience, coupled with her Southern flair and unending grace and charm allows her to zero in on exactly what her guests want. She is a true people person and strives to brighten up your day. Whether you’re looking for a great cut, color or special style for a special occasion—Ongele is your gal.

Over the past 20 years, James has curated a distinct and recognizable style within the Houston hair scene. James grew up outside the city and wasn’t sure where life would take him but his confident, caring and spirited nature was drawn to the hair industry. Now, after years of experience, James has become a regular go-to stylist for beautiful blonde color, easy and beautiful long hair, and stylish men’s cuts. While his techniques are top-notch, James always talks everyone through their appointment in order to ensure maximum potential for their look when they leave. For James, seeing new found confidence in his clients is the most awarding part of the job.

A Louisiana native, Justin began his career by training at the Aveda Institute in Baton Rouge. After leaving Louisiana and moving to Houston, Justin realized that the sky’s the limit for his career in the hair industry. Following his apprenticeship under Alan Conover, he began to develop a style of his own with techniques that radiate youthful beauty. Now, 11 years into his career, Justin can hardly imagine doing anything else. As a stylist who provides consistently crafted cuts and beautifully playful color, Justin hopes that all his clients leave the salon revitalized and feeling like the best version of themselves.

Trained at the Paul Mitchell Academy, Ashley brings a unique creativity and style to the Hue Salon team. Along with cut and color, Ashley is trained in extensions. She has attended dozens of continuing education classes over the years which have helped her refine her coloring and cutting skills and ensures that she is current on existing trends. Ashley aims to find the perfect cut and color that will accentuate her client’s natural beauty and keep their tresses strong and nourished for years to come.

Native Houstonian and a graduate of the Aveda Institute, Catherine always dreamed of working in an industry where creativity was valued and encouraged. Always enjoying a challenge, she takes pride in her abilities to formulate color that can transform a client’s hair from dull to radiant. Similarly, Catherine has developed a sophisticated style when it comes to cutting using her mathematically savvy mind to master any bob, men’s cut, or layered look.
In addition to her current skills, she is excited to work alongside such an accomplished team and to continue her education.

Los Angeles native turned proud Houstonian, Allegra left the west coast to pursue hair school at the Paul Mitchell Institute and has never looked back. After finding her home at Hue salon and going through our apprenticeship, Allegra has quickly begun to make a name for herself as an ambitious and driven stylist. Whether you are looking for someone who will tame your beachy waves, find the right color to fit your natural spirit, or a simple cut and color, Allegra always provides a style that will make you want to come back over and over again. Overall, Allegra feels that working in the hair industry is the best career she could have ever chosen, especially when getting to take someone’s bad day and turn it into a good one.

Born and raised in Florida, Kelly's love for hair started at a young age. What started off as a creative outlet quickly turned into a passion. From traditional highlights to balayage, Kelly's love for blonding can be seen in her work. As a former Hue Salon Apprentice, Kelly has completed our rigorous education program and has become a strong Hue stylist with a passion for what she creates behind the chair.

Denisse started her journey at Hue Salon as part of our front desk team. After realizing she had a growing interest in all things hair, she decided to earn her cosmetology license and get out from behind the front desk and enter Hue's rigorous apprenticeship program. It wasn't long before anyone could notice Denisse has a real passion and undeniable talent for hair. Whether you a want short and edgy cut, long flowing layers, or beautiful dimensional color, Denisse is your stylist. She is a Hue rising star, a savvy problem solver, and she can’t wait to see you in her chair.
